Italy: Consumer confidence rises to over-year high in May
Consumer confidence came in at 110.6 in May, jumping from April’s 102.3 and marking the best result in almost a year-and-a-half, supported by the gradual easing of restrictions from late April.
May’s upturn reflected a broad-based improvement. Sentiment in the future climate subindex improved notably, and it also strengthened in the personal climate subindex. Notably, the economic and current climate subindexes returned to optimistic territory with the former improving markedly.
