Hungary: Industrial production growth slows in February
Industrial production rose a working-day adjusted 1.7% year-on-year in February, down from January’s 2.7% increase, according to a first estimate by the Statistical Institute. While a detailed breakdown is not yet available, February’s reading largely reflected a slowdown in the production of transport equipment.
In seasonally- and working-day-adjusted terms, industrial output increased 0.2% month-on-month in February, down markedly from the 4.6% rise logged in January. Annual average growth in industrial production dropped to 4.8% in February from 5.2% in the month prior.
