Hungary: Industrial output growth slows in April

According to revised data released by the Statistical Institute (KSH) on 14 June, industrial output in April rose a working-day adjusted 2.5%, which marks a considerable slowdown from March’s 10.0% expansion. The dominant manufacturing sector saw a decline in production, while mining and quarrying, and the energy sector saw a rise.
On a monthly basis, industrial production swung from a seasonally- and working-day adjusted 0.7% expansion in March to a 0.8% contraction in April. Meanwhile, annual average growth in industrial production inched down from 2.3% in March to 2.1% in April.
