Hong Kong: Inflation comes in at highest level since August 2016 in July
Consumer prices fell a seasonally-adjusted 0.10% over the previous month in July, coming in below June’s flat result. July’s result marked the sharpest fall in prices since September 2020.
Inflation came in at 3.8% in July, which was up from June’s 0.7%. July’s figure represented the highest inflation rate since August 2016. The annual average variation of consumer prices rose to 0.4% in July (June: -0.1%).
