Guatemala: Inflation hits highest level since November 2020 in January
Consumer prices increased 0.15% from the previous month in January, swinging from December’s 0.01% drop. The print was driven by a strong rise in transportation prices.
Inflation came in at 5.2% in January, from December’s 4.8%. January’s figure represented the highest inflation rate since November 2020. Annual average inflation rose to 3.5% in January (December: 3.2%).
