July 10, 2018
Consumer prices in Guatemala increased 0.57% in June over the prior month, accelerating from May’s 0.47% increase. The result was primarily driven by a strong increase in the price for food, while prices for transport and communication registered lower prices than the prior month.
Inflation fell from 4.1% in May to 3.8% in June and came in just below the midpoint of Banguat’s target range of 3.0%–5.0%.
