Greece: Unemployment rate inches down in October
The number of unemployed fell by 4,528 in October from the previous month and by 123,054 compared with October 2016, according to recent data released by the Hellenic Statistical Authority (EL.STAT).
Accordingly, the unemployment rate fell from September’s revised 20.8% (previously reported: 20.6%) to 20.7% in October, a multi-year low. While the unemployment rate has fallen notably in past years, it is still well above the Eurozone average.
