Ghana: Inflation falls to over one-year low in December
Inflation eased to 23.2% in December, below November’s 26.4%. December’s reading marked the weakest inflation rate since March 2022. The moderation was broad-based, with reduced price pressures recorded for food and beverages, transport, clothing and footwear, and housing and utilities.
Accordingly, the trend pointed down, with annual average inflation coming in at 39.2% in December (November: 42.0%).
Lastly, consumer prices increased a seasonally adjusted 1.16% in December over the previous month, below November’s 1.54% increase.
