Germany: Industrial output growth eases in November
Industrial production rose 0.9% on a calendar-adjusted month-on-month basis in November, down from October’s 3.4% expansion. The headline figure was driven by softer growth in construction activity as well as weaker intermediate goods and capital goods production. Moreover, energy production fell sharply. On the other hand, the fall in consumer goods production eased.
On an annual basis, industrial output dropped 2.6% in November, slightly better than the 2.7% fall recorded in the prior month.
