France: Inflation hits over one-year high in April
Consumer prices increased 0.17% from the previous month in April, a smaller increase than March’s 0.60% rise, largely reflected lower prices for manufactured goods.
Inflation rose to 1.3% in April from March’s 1.1% increase. Meanwhile, harmonized inflation came in at 1.7% in April, up from March’s 1.4%, marking the highest reading since January 2020, while the trend pointed up slightly, with annual average harmonized inflation coming in at 0.6% in April (March: 0.4%).
