France: Harmonized inflation falls to near three-year low in March
In March, consumer prices were stable for a second consecutive month, according to a preliminary release by the Statistical Institute (INSEE). Higher prices for tobacco and manufactured products were offset by lower energy prices.
Similarly, harmonized consumer prices were stable for a second consecutive month, while harmonized inflation came in at 0.7% (February: 1.6%), the lowest print since November 2016. Meanwhile, annual average harmonized inflation was steady at 1.3%.
