France: Industrial output sinks to over-one-year low in June
Seasonally-adjusted industrial output contracted 2.3% month-on-month in June, an over-year low, contrasting a 2.0% increase in May. Notably, a drop in manufacturing output drove June’s downturn. Moreover, the mining and utilities sectors contracted as well.
On an annual basis, industrial output saw no growth in June (May: +3.9% year-on-year). Meanwhile, the annual average variation in industrial production edged down to 0.2% in June, from 0.3% a month prior.
