France: Industrial output contracts at a softer pace in September
Seasonally-adjusted industrial production rose 0.3% month-on-month in September, contrasting August’s 0.9% decline. The recovery was driven by a rebound in manufacturing output and upbeat construction activity.
On an annual basis, industrial production fell 0.4% after falling 1.4% in August which had marked an eight-month low. Meanwhile, the annual average variation in industrial production was flat in September, edging up from a minus 0.1% print logged a month prior.
