France: Industrial activity dips in November
Industrial production fell 0.4% month-on-month in seasonally-adjusted terms in November (October: +0.9% s.a. mom). November’s figure was partly due to a deterioration in manufacturing output. In contrast, mining and quarrying output rebounded.
On an annual basis, industrial output fell at a softer rate of 0.5% in November (October: -0.6% yoy). Accordingly, the trend improved, with the annual average growth of industrial production coming in at 5.6%, up from October’s 5.2%.
