Estonia: Harmonized inflation falls to lowest level since September 2023 in March
Harmonized inflation fell to 4.1% in March, down from February’s 4.4%. March’s figure marked the lowest inflation rate since September 2023. Looking at the details of the release, prices for food and non-alcoholic beverages grew at a weaker rate in March, outweighing stronger price growth for transportation.
Annual average harmonized inflation fell to 6.1% in March (February: 7.0%). Meanwhile, consumer price inflation fell to 3.9% in March, from the previous month’s 4.2%.
Finally, harmonized consumer prices increased 0.44% over the previous month in March, picking up from February’s 0.12% rise.
