Ecuador: Consumer prices fall at slower pace in June
Consumer prices slid 0.18% over the previous month in June, contrasting May´s 0.08% increase and falling for the first time since December last year. June´s decline largely reflected a quicker drop in prices for food and non-alcoholic beverages.
Consumer prices tumbled 0.7% in annual terms in June, above May’s 1.1% drop. Meanwhile, the annual average variation in consumer prices deteriorated, coming at minus 1.0% in June, following May’s minus 0.9%.
