Ecuador: Consumer prices drop annually for eighth month running in February
Consumer prices rose 0.08% from the previous month in February, following the 0.12% increase in January. February’s slowdown was largely driven by a steeper fall in prices for clothing and footwear, and communications.
Consumer prices declined 0.8% in annual terms in February, after dropping 1.0% in January and marking the eighth successive month of falling prices. Meanwhile, the annual average variation in consumer prices came in at minus 0.5% in February, down from minus 0.4% in January.
