Ecuador: Economic activity moderates in December
Economic activity expanded 10.9% compared to the same month of the previous year in December, easing from November’s 13.8% increase. The figure was likely the result of a sharp fall in crude oil production in December, which suggests that the non-oil sector continued to be the main driver of growth.
Meanwhile, annual average economic activity growth rose to 14.0% in December from 12.9% in November, signaling an improving trend.
