Ecuador: Economic activity gains traction in July
Economic activity rose 2.0% over the same month of the previous year in July, according to the monthly economic activity indicator (IDEAC, Indice de Actividad Económica Coyuntural) released by the Central Bank of Ecuador. This marked a faster pace of expansion than the 1.5% registered in June.
In month-on-month, seasonally-adjusted terms, economic activity was up 0.6% in July, marking a slight acceleration from the 0.4% rise in June. Lastly, annual average growth in economic activity slid to 2.4% in July from 2.5% in June.
