Denmark: Inflation moderates in September

In September, consumer prices added 0.23% over the previous month, which was down from the 0.31% increase seen in August. According to Statistics Denmark (DST), the reading reflected higher prices for clothing and footwear, which offset lower prices for food and non-alcoholic beverages. Annual headline inflation inched down from 2.6% in August to 2.5% in September. Annual average inflation, however, was unchanged at August's 2.5%. In addition, HICP inflation (based on the harmonized index of consumer prices) inched down to 2.5% from 2.6% in August.
