Denmark: Business confidence records joint over two-and-a-half-year high in April

April 28, 2021

Business confidence among firms in the manufacturing sector was unchanged in April, with sentiment clocking in at March’s 1—the best result since August 2018. Consequently, the index remained above the 0-point threshold, separating optimism from pessimism among businesses for the second month running.

Moreover, sentiment improved in the construction, services and retail sectors, with confidence turning optimistic compared to the previous month.

FocusEconomics Consensus Forecast panelists expect gross fixed investment to increase 2.9% in 2021, which is up 0.4 percentage points from last month’s forecast, and 3.6% in 2022.
