Denmark: Business confidence deteriorates in November

Business confidence among firms in the manufacturing sector came in at minus 10 in November, down from October's minus 7. As a result, the index remained entrenched below the 0-point threshold, indicating pessimism among businesses.

Meanwhile, sentiment in the retail sector decreased to 7 in November from October’s 11. However, sentiment in the services sector improved slightly to minus 13 from minus 15 in October, although it remained in pessimistic territory. Moreover, sentiment in the construction sector also increased mildly to minus 7 in November from minus 9 in the prior month, thus moving closer to the 0-point threshold.

FocusEconomics Consensus Forecast panelists expect gross fixed investment to increase 2.3% in 2021, which is down 0.7 percentage points from last month’s forecast, and 3.3% in 2022.
