Denmark: Business confidence decreases further in September
Business confidence among firms in the manufacturing sector decreased again in September and reached minus 11, down from August’s minus 10, thus moving further below the 0-point threshold separating pessimism from optimism among businesses.
In brighter news, sentiment in the retail sector shot up to 13, more than doubling the value recorded in the previous month. Moreover, despite remaining in negative territory, sentiment in the construction sector continued to improve, with employment expectations in the sector returning to positive terrain. Similarly, services sector confidence increased again, although it remained in negative territory.
