Czech Republic: Industrial output records lowest growth since January in June
Industrial output increased 0.8% year on year in working-day adjusted terms in June, which followed May’s 1.4% increase. The figure marked the worst reading since January. June’s deterioration largely reflected drops in electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply and mining and quarrying production. However, manufacturing output gained traction.
On a monthly basis, factory output rose 0.9% in seasonally adjusted terms in June, which was below May’s 1.5% expansion. Meanwhile, the trend pointed down, with the annual average growth of industrial production coming in at 2.8%, down from May’s 3.1%.
