Cyprus: Inflation accelerates in October
Consumer prices rose 0.73% in October over the previous month, contrasting September’s 0.06% decline. October’s increase was largely attributed to higher price pressures for housing and utilities and transportation.
Inflation came in at 4.3% in October, up from September’s 4.1%. Meanwhile, the trend pointed up, with the annual average variation of consumer prices coming in at 1.5% in October from 1.1% in September. Lastly, harmonized inflation rose to 3.6 in September, the last month for which data is available, from 3.3% in August.
