Croatia: Inflation slides in February
Inflation dropped to 11.9% in February from January’s 12.8%. February’s result represented the lowest inflation rate since May 2022. Looking at the details of the release, prices for transportation grew at a more moderate pace in February. Moreover, prices for food and non-alcoholic beverages and housing and utilities also increased at a softer rate.
The trend pointed up, with annual average inflation coming in at 11.8% in February (January: 11.4%). Meanwhile, harmonized inflation fell to 11.7% in February, from the previous month’s 12.5%.
Lastly, consumer prices rose 0.16% in February over the previous month, after the flat result logged in January.
