Croatia: Harmonized inflation drops to lowest level since February 2022 in October
Harmonized inflation fell to 6.7% in October, following September’s 7.4% reading. October’s result marked the lowest inflation rate since February 2022. Looking at the details of the release, prices for food and non-alcoholic beverages and prices for transportation rose at softer rates in October.
Accordingly, the trend pointed down, with annual average harmonized inflation coming in at 9.6% in October (September: 10.1%). Meanwhile, consumer price inflation fell to 5.8% in October, from September’s 6.7%.
Finally, harmonized consumer prices increased 0.29% over the previous month in October, swinging from the 0.65% drop recorded in September.
