Colombia: Pessimism among consumers eases in June
The Fedesarrollo consumer confidence index came in at minus 22.3 in June, improving notably from May’s minus 34.3. That said, June’s result still indicated pessimism among consumers.
June’s improvement largely reflected falling pessimism regarding economic conditions in the coming 12 months. Moreover, consumer sentiment with regards to their financial situation at present compared to a year ago improved and households turned less sour towards big-ticket purchases.
