Colombia: Consumer sentiment deteriorates further in March
The Fedesarrollo consumer confidence index dropped further in March, coming in at a nine-month low of minus 17.8 in March, deteriorating from February’s minus 17.5. Consequently, the index fell further below the zero-point threshold, signaling starker pessimism among consumers.
March’s downtick came on the back of more pessimistic views on the country’s general economic situation in the coming 12-month period. Moreover, consumers also assessed their current financial situation to be worse at present than it was a year ago.
