House prices in 70 large- and medium-sized cities increased 0.5% month on month in March, according to a weighted average index calculated by Refinitiv from data issued by the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS), following February’s 0.3% increase. March’s reading was the third consecutive month-on-month rise, suggesting the worst of the real estate downturn may now be in the past. Meanwhile, house prices decreased 0.8% annually in March, up from February’s 1.2% decrease.
