Chile: Business confidence hits highest reading since April 2013 in July
Business confidence rose to 57.6 in July from June’s 54.3. July’s result marked the strongest sentiment since April 2013. Consequently, the index moved further above the 50-point threshold, indicating optimism among businesses.
Looking at the details of July’s release, confidence in the retail sector turned more upbeat, while sentiment in the industrial sector improved. Meanwhile, confidence in the mining sector eased somewhat but remained optimistic.
