Canada: House price growth accelerates in March
According to the Teranet-National Bank Composite House Price Index, house prices increased 2.1% month-on-month on a non-seasonally-adjusted basis in March, which was above February’s 1.5% increase. In annual terms, house prices were up 18.4% in March, up from the previous month’s 17.7% rise.
In March, prices in 10 of the 11 markets surveyed increased over the month prior, with price growth the strongest in Halifax, Hamilton, and Toronto.
