Bulgaria: Decline in industrial activity softens in September
Industrial production slid 2.6% year-on-year in September (August: -5.9% yoy), marking the best result since February. Looking at the details of the release, manufacturing output returned to growth in September, while mining output swung to contraction.
On a seasonally-adjusted monthly basis, industrial output rose at a quicker rate of 2.3% in September (August: +0.9% mom). Meanwhile, the trend pointed down, with the annual average variation of industrial production coming in at minus 5.1%, down from August’s minus 4.9%.
