Brazil: Economic activity growth hits five-month high in February
Economic activity grew 1.7% in month-on-month seasonally-adjusted terms in February, which was above January’s 1.3% increase. The figure marked the best result since September 2020.
On an annual basis, economic activity rebounded, rising 1.0% in February (January: -0.5% yoy). Accordingly, the trend improved slightly, with the annual average variation of economic activity coming in at minus 4.0%, up from January’s minus 4.1% reading.
