Brazil: Business confidence rises in November
Business sentiment in Brazil’s industrial sector improved in November, after falling to the lowest level seen since October last year in the previous month. The Getulio Vargas Foundation’s (FGV, Fundaçao Getúlio Vargas) industrial business confidence index increased to 95.5 points in November, from October’s 94.6 points. The index remains below the 100-point threshold and signals prevailing pessimism among Brazilian companies.
According to the FGV, the improvement was chiefly driven by firms’ less pessimistic assessment of future economic situation.
