Belgium: Industrial production gains traction in April
Industrial output increased 5.5% on a year-on-year seasonally-adjusted basis in April, up from March’s 1.2% result. A breakdown by Belgium’s Statistical Institute revealed that upbeat manufacturing output and a rebound in utilities supply were behind the upturn.
Annual average industrial output growth, meanwhile, rose to 1.7% from 1.3% in March.
On a seasonally-adjusted basis, industrial output rebounded by 2.8% from a month earlier (March: -1.9% month-on-month seasonally adjusted).
