Belarus: Industrial activity drops at sharpest rate since May in December
Industrial output dropped 0.7% in year-on-year terms in December, which was a deterioration from November’s 4.3% increase. The outturn marked the worst reading since May. December’s reading was driven by weaker mining and energy output.
Meanwhile, the trend pointed down, with the annual average variation of industrial production coming in at minus 0.7%, down from November’s minus 0.3% reading.
