Argentina: Inflation climbs further in May
Consumer prices rose 3.3% over the previous month in May, following the 4.1% increase logged in April. In April, the sharpest increases in prices were recorded for transport, health and restaurants and hotels.
Inflation increased to 48.8% in May from April’s 46.3%, logging the highest print since February 2020. Meanwhile, annual average inflation rose to 40.7% in May (April: 40.3%).
