Argentina: Inflation climbs further in March
Consumer prices jumped 4.80% over the previous month in March, following the 3.60% increase logged in February and marking the fastest increase in 18 months. In March, the sharpest increases in prices were recorded education, clothing and footwear and alcoholic beverages and tobacco.
Inflation increased to 42.6% in March from February’s 40.7%, logging the highest print since June 2020. Meanwhile, annual average inflation fell to 40.2% in March (February: 40.7%).
