Belgium: Industrial output growth speeds up in August
Industrial production rose 29.9% year-on-year in calendar-adjusted terms in August (July: +29.5% c.a. yoy). The reading was primarily driven by quicker industrial production growth.
On a seasonally-adjusted monthly basis, industrial production rose at a softer pace of 0.1% in August (July: +0.6% mom s.a.), the lowest result since February. Meanwhile, annual average industrial production growth rose to 13.5% in August (July: +10.6%). This signals an improving trend in the industrial sector.
