Turkey: Business confidence inches down but remains elevated in September
Business confidence inched down from 113.9 in August to 113.4 in September; however, the index remained handsomely above the neutral 100-threshold that separates optimism from pessimism at the tail end of the third quarter.
The downtick came on the back of slightly less upbeat views on output, employment and export orders expectations in the three months ahead. Meanwhile, sentiment towards the general business situation dipped back into pessimistic territory for the first time since May, which offset rosier views on order books in the past three months, and capital expenditure in the year ahead.
