Turkey: Business confidence hits highest reading since April 2018 in April
Business confidence rose to 111.0 in April from March’s 110.8. April’s result marked the strongest reading since April 2018. As such, the index moved further north of the 100-threshold, separating optimism from pessimism.
The uptick came on the back of an improvement in firms’ views of current order books. Moreover, attitudes towards stocks of finished goods and employment in the next three months turned rosier. In contrast, sentiment regarding the general business situation deteriorated.
