Thailand: Manufacturing output drops for 10th-consecutive month in February
Manufacturing output dropped 5.2% year-on-year in February, down from the revised 4.0% contraction in the prior month (previously reported: -4.6% year-on-year) and marking the 10th consecutive month of falling production. February’s figure was underpinned by drops in the production of cars, food, and rubber and plastic products. Annual average production contracted 4.3% in February, down from January’s 4.0% fall.
Meanwhile, manufacturing production contracted 3.9% month-on-month in February, swinging from the 0.5% expansion recorded in January.
