Spain: Industrial output posts quickest growth since March in November
Industrial output increased 0.8% year-on-year in seasonally and calendar adjusted terms in November, which contrasted October’s 1.4% decrease. November’s figure marked the best reading since March. The reading reflected a broad-based upturn, with activity in the consumer goods, capital goods and intermediate goods sub-sectors all improving in November.
On a monthly basis, factory output rose 1.0% in seasonally adjusted terms in November, contrasting October’s 0.7% fall. Meanwhile, the trend improved modestly, with the annual average variation of industrial production coming in at minus 0.6%, up from October’s minus 0.8%.
