Slovenia: Industrial sector loses traction in January
Industrial production growth slowed to 0.3% year-on-year in January, from 1.0% in December. The deceleration reflected a sharper contraction in mining and quarrying output and in the utilities supply sector, as well as a slowdown in manufacturing activity.
Meanwhile, average annual growth in industrial production logged 2.5% in January, down from December’s 2.9%.
On a month-on-month basis, industrial output rose 1.7%, contrasting a 1.8% decline in the previous month.
