Slovakia: Inflation remains stable in September
Consumer prices were unchanged in September, following August’s 0.10% drop. September’s result largely reflected a rebound in prices for clothing and footwear, as well as a softer drop in prices for food and non-alcoholic beverages. Meanwhile, prices for transport, and recreation and culture dropped over the previous month.
Inflation came in at 1.4% in September, matching August’s reading, and putting an end to a six-month streak of falling inflation. Meanwhile, annual average inflation edged down to 2.3% (August: 2.4%). Lastly, harmonized inflation also remained stable in September, coming in at August’s 1.4%.
