Poland: Retail sales growth improves in February
Retail sales grew 6.7% compared to the same month of the previous year in February, which was above January’s 4.6% increase. February’s figure marked the best reading since February 2023. The notable pickup was partly driven by faster growth in motor vehicles, motorcycles and parts sales. In addition, textiles, clothing and footwear sales continued to fall at a sharp pace.
Meanwhile, the trend pointed down, with the annual average growth of retail sales coming in at 3.3% in February, down from January’s 3.7%.
