Peru: Business sentiment ticks up in August, but remains in pessimistic territory
Business confidence increased to 38.0 in August, up from July’s 35.0 as firms continued to react positively to the easing of lockdown measures in recent months. However, the indicator still came in well below the 50-point threshold that separates pessimism from optimism among firms.
Firms’ reported broad-based gains in August, with views regarding their sector, future demand for their products, and the company’s financial situation all improving.
