Netherlands: Manufacturing PMI rises in January
The Nevi Netherlands Manufacturing PMI improved to 48.9 in January from 44.8 in December. As a result, the index remained below the 50.0 no-change threshold but signaled a softer deterioration in manufacturing sector operating conditions compared to the previous month.
The Dutch manufacturing sector showed signs of stabilization and increased optimism. New orders, output and employment all contracted at slower rates in January. Meanwhile, input costs fell, and selling prices increased slightly. In addition, business confidence improved to an 11-month high despite the overall sector contraction.
