Netherlands: Business confidence rises to two-year high in April
Sentiment among producer reached a two-year high in April, with the confidence index jumping to 6.5 from 3.4 in March. Consequently, the index moved further north of the neutral zero-threshold that separates optimism from pessimism. Moreover, the print came in markedly above the long-term average of 0.3 in the past 20 years.
The improvement in the headline reading was driven by greater optimism regarding order books and expected activity. Views on the stocks of finished goods also improved.
